Solution features

1. Courbar is PCI DSS Certified to ensure security at all levels of functioning. This has been made possible by implmenting robust security policies as per the standards prescribed by PCI DSS. Overall, this is a combination of multiple security mechanisms ensuring maximum security to enable safe communication between the Bank and Courbar Server.
2. No transactions, storing or processing of sensitive information as per definition of PCI DSS standards.
   
3. Call validation supported by confirmatory SMS to Card / Account Holder.
   
4. Solution extensibility to ATM Cards, Debit Card and Credit Cards.
   
5. Courbar Services does not require use / installation of additional hardware other than the system already being used byu the bank. It is being presumed that the bank already has establkised secured SSL VPN facilities, which shall be utilised to establish a SSL VPN connection between Bank and Courbar Server.
   
   This means that the bank has no capital expenditure to avail this security validation solutions.
   

How does it work ?

Each time a card transaction / account log-on is initiated validation of identoity of the holder is initiated by generating a voice call and response collection in real time within the time limit specified by the payment gateway and / or bank. Based on validation respose received from the card / account holder, the transaction is either approved or rejected. The action is confirmed by a post transaction SMS on card / account holder's mobile phone.
